An AI-powered outbound sales system that automatically calls leads, conducts qualification conversations, enriches contact records with real-time data, and delivers scored, qualified prospects to the sales team — replacing hours of manual cold outreach.
A sales organization was managing a large inbound lead database but lacked the bandwidth to contact and qualify every prospect quickly. By the time a sales rep reached a lead, the prospect had often gone cold or engaged a competitor. Manual enrichment of contact data was inconsistent and time-consuming. The team needed a way to qualify and enrich leads at scale, immediately upon entry into the pipeline.
We built an automated system using Vapi for AI voice calling, OpenAI for conversational intelligence, and Apollo for real-time data enrichment. When a lead enters the pipeline, the system automatically initiates an outbound call. The AI agent conducts a natural qualification conversation, asks scripted discovery questions, and handles common objections. Simultaneously, the Apollo integration enriches the contact record with firmographic data. Qualified leads are scored and routed to the human sales team with a full call transcript and enriched profile.
Lead response time dropped from hours to minutes. The qualification rate on human-handled calls improved because reps were only talking to pre-qualified, pre-enriched prospects. The system processes a volume of outreach that would have required multiple full-time SDRs to handle manually.
